Move your license to a new Mac

You can use your existing license on a new Mac by deactivating the previous Mac first.

Have your license key ready

You can find it in your Fenn purchase email.

Transfer your activation

1. Open the license portal.

   Go to Manage your Fenn license and enter your license key.

2. Choose the previous Mac.

   Follow the portal’s steps to deactivate that Mac. You can do this even if you no longer have access to it.

3. Activate Fenn on your new Mac.

   Open Fenn on the new Mac and enter the same license key.

What happens to my files?

Transferring your license changes which Mac can use Fenn. It does not copy your files or Fenn’s search data to the new Mac.

Do not use Reset to release a license. Reset clears Fenn data and settings; use the license portal to deactivate a Mac.

My license still won’t activate

Check that the old Mac has been deactivated and that you entered the complete license key. If activation still fails, contact support with the error message you see.
